What do you mean by Indexing in SAP BO explorer?
Hi All,
I am creating an Information Space in SAP BO Explorer using an Excel Sheet. However, I wanted to know what indexing actually mean.
Does it mean that it would refresh the data in the excel sheet if i schedule it?
Any help in details posted on this post as a reply or any links giving relevant information on the question that I have asked would be really appreciated.

Limiting rows and cells when exporting to Excel?
Dear All,
I want to limit exporting to Excel but the advanced configuration only seems to effect csv file type(?).
export.csv.maxrows=50000
export.csv.maxcells=-1
Is there a parameter that works for Excel?

Null Values Error in SAP BusinessObjects Mobile
Dear All,
We have created one infromation space in Businees Object Explorer and then exploreration view above the same. When i am analysing same exploreration view from desktop then null values are seen as a blank but when i am anaysing the same with IPAD & IPHONE we are getting the null values like 169999999999999999993883079571777.........
Please find the attachement for more details.
Kindly suggest is there any setting related to IPAD & IPHONE or any workaround to solve the issue.

Unable to delete Explorer Workspace
I have an orphaned workspace in a folder which appears the universe has been deleted for it.
There's no listing in Explorer app to purge the reports out and no option in CMC to purge them and error PS20014 doesn't help.
Any ideas/steps I could take?

Promotion issue with Explorer Info spaces
Promoted Infospaces from Dev to QA. Promotion was successful. But Infospaces are not visible when logged in as Adminitrator in explorer. Logged in to Launchpad, can see the infospaces folder and infospaces. But try to run the infospaces- got an error. It was not possible to open the information space.
Why i cannot see the infospaces in Explorer page?
Infospaces ceated on Hana views. Hana connection authentication mode is using the BO Credential mapping. test connection works fine. Admin account is assosiated with DB user name.

BO Explorer: Indexing error
Dears!
I am pretty new with BO Explorer and we have been experiencing for some weeks (over a month) an indexing process issue: it fails to run.
The error message is the following:
Server xxxxxxx generated the following messages:
Index Creation Failed (while trying to invoke the method com.businessobjects.datadiscovery.dataprovider.lucene.exploration.result.ILuceneMember.getKey() of a null object loaded from local variable 'member')
The amount of data is quite huge and the number of columns as well. 9 millions of records for 59 facets and 4 Measures.
SAP is unabled to give an answer (this high priority case has been raised 2 weeks ago already and still almost no releavant answer).
We tried to split the data into 2 views and it worked.
Removing some detailed facets works also but it is not a satisfying solution as the customer does want to see all of them at a glance.
I would really appreciate any input which would help to resolve our problem!

Unable to see Publication option in CMC/Infoview
Hi All,
We are using SAP BO Enterprise XI Product version: 12.1.0.
I would like to create report bursting and publish the reports dynamically to users via Crystal reports and for this I wanted to create a publication. But, when I right clicked a folder in CMC and selected "New" from the pop-up menu, I could only see Object Package, Hyperlink and Folder options only. I was not able to see "Publication" option from the pop-up menu.
I checked the servers and was able to see that the Publishing Server is up and running.
Could someone, kindly let me know, how can I see Publication feature.

We have a scenario with BO BI 4.0 FP 3 (BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.0 FP3) with BO Explorer 4.0 FP3. MS win 2008 R2, MS SQL Server
2008. We would like to be able to view the Webi reports published in the CMS server via mobile platforms. In doing this, we have two
servers BOBI and TWAS (Tomcat WebApp Server).
The TWAS is in a DMZ (accessible via internet) and BOBI is in the intranet firewall. I have also installed the explorer on TWAS (web tier) to

Count of records in BO Explorer
Hi,
Am facing a situation where the count of records in Explorer (based on Universes on top of HANA views) output is restricted to 5000 records.
This had been working fine earlier. The 'Count of records' in query properties in the Universe has always been set to 5000. This seems to be working fine for Information Spaces based on IDT Relational Connections.
How can this issue be rectified, pl advise. Thanks.

Currently we use SAP Solution Manager to monitor their SAP system landscape and now require the BI (Business Intelligence) systems configuring in Solution Manager.
Currently WE provide Manual daily checks of the BI landscape; the Solution Manager Technical Monitoring will be configured to mirror these checks as closely as possible.
I am able to find the document for Tomcat configuration to SLD, BO registration to SLD. Manage system configuration.

BO Explorer - using RKF and CKF of a query
Hi,
I am currently in the learning phase of Business Objects 4.1 tools and have some unanswered questions.
I have recently started learning about the Explorer tool and was wondering whether there is a way I can use BEx queries as source in the Explorer tool. For now, I have created a relational data universe over the InfoCube using the Information Design Tool and used this new universe as a source in the Explorer tool but this did not bring in any of the existing BEx restricted key figures and calculated key figures.
Are there any other ways I can connect directly to the BEx query directly to take advantage of the defined restricted key figure and calculated key figure. There are about 100 RKF and CKF over an InfoCube and I would really like to take advantage of the existing elements.
I read through the discussion forums and found couple of different replies based on the version number.
Please do guide me if you have resolved a similar issue. Thanks for reading.
