Index Creation Error, while creating Information space

Hi,

 

I'm trying to create an Information Space in explorer based
off of a Universe created on a Bex Query from SAP BW. 

 

  1. This
    Universe is created in Universe design tool based on BW 7.4,  gives below error, while creating report in  Web Intelligence based on Universe.

  Database error: Failed to execute MDX Query.

  Reason occured when starting the parser timeout during
allocate/CPC-CALL.

 

2) In Explorer everything seems to be working fine with the
Information Space creation up until the point where I need to index it.  When I click 'Index' it takes about 5-10
seconds and then fails with the following error

 

Latest indexing failed

  Start Date: 2015/02/11 08:51

End Date: 2015/02/11 08:53

 

Server, BOHDSIA.ExplorerIndexingServer, generated the
following messages:

  Index Creation Failed (

  The execution of the specified analysis query
failed.-Database error: A database error has occured. (IES 10901)

  Database error: A database error has occured. (IES 10901))

 

  The Bex Query executes successfully in BEx Analyzer and webi
report created with BEX as datasource

Default Blue Colour Change it to other colors required

Hi

 

By default information space is been created in blue color.

 

We want to change it to purple color or our own colors. this is for graphs and all.

 

Also we are getting number of records which are getting displayed   eg (1476 records  765 sec ) .

 

Can we also disable this.

OLAP connection is missing in CMC

Hi Experts,

 

I came through a situation in CMC where the OLAP connection is missing from the display window. Initially after installing BO I was able to create OLAP connections but all of a sudden it got disappeared from CMC. Now only connection (but not OLAP connection) is there. I came across some notes in SCN where the solution to get back to the earlier stage is suggested as mentioned below:

In my case, I didn't deployed anything like WebSphere which might have lead me to the disappearance of OLAP connection.

 

Can someone suggest me the steps how can I get back to my earlier state in CMC (any suggestions apart from the above mentioned ones will be highly appreciated)?

OLAP Universe (.unx) not visible under Universe Sources in Manage Spaces

Dear Experts ,

 

We have created an OLAP universe (.unx) based on MS Analysis Service Cube in the IDT and have published it to the repository. We are able to create Webi Reports based on the universe created as we can see it while choosing the source .

 

But we are not able to see it under  the sources in Manage Spaces as we are trying to create an information space based on that .

 

Any pointer what needs to be done to make it visible .

 

Note : We are on SAP BO 4.1 SP4.

DBDriver failed to load

Hi, We are on BI 4.0 SP6, SUSE Linux.

 

We made a relational connection over MS SQL Server 2008, when we test it in linux server it gets failed.

and When we try to create index using same connection, we get following error.

 

 

Index Creation Failed (

The execution of the specified analysis query failed.-[] <com.businessobjects.dsl.commons.exception.NestedException: DBDriver failed to load : /usr/sap/DOR/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/dataAccess/connectionServer/drivers/lib64/libdbd_mssql.so (libodbc.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)>

Explorer use a measure by date range

Im trying to do a date range using a measure to calcute the amount. is that possible?
In this case i try to plus all the Sales amount from 2008/10 to the 2006/12.

On the information design tool the measure is creat like that and its working because it is a static date

Hi,

 

I have created a OLAP Universe on top of SAP BEx Query which is having Filters. Below is code generated by Universe Designer Tool ...

Index Creation Failed

Hi all,

 

I've just started to use Explorer and I can't overcome this indexing error. After creating the Information Space I try to index it and this error comes up after some seconds:

I tried to restart the .ExplorerIndexingServer but it didn't work.

 

 

Any ideas?

Not able to see Hana views in Explorer after creating connections in CMC

Hello,

 

We've created OLAP connection for a Hana source in SAP BO CMC, to access Hana system, for creating Explorer views by leveraging Hana models.

However the connection got created successfully in CMC, but after creating connections, we couldn't find the data source in Explorer's Manage Spaces.

 

Please help me on how to make the connections visible in BO Explorer so that we can construct Explorer views for Hana models.

Capturing Indexing Failures

Hi All,

 

I wanted to know whether is there any way to capture indexing failures.

The requirement is if the indexing fails it should send an email out reporting the failure.

 

System Details:

BI 4.1 SP02 Platform

CMS and Audit databases running on DB2

Windows 2008 R2 Server

Query Filters or Report Filters In Information space

Hi

 

How can I apply filters in my information space.

 

I know after creating we can select filters but just like in webi we hace query filters which when applied will show only that specific data.

 

I am using Universe built on top of database.

I can have predefined filters in that but if in that case if we require lot of filters then how can we manage.

 

Other approach i found is through create one more information space on top of excel and keeping only those records which we want to filter.

 

But we also have to take user id.

 

and then in main Information space e can personalize but then this will only apply filter that particular user.

This sometimes does not work.

 

Is there any other approach for filters before generating information space like query filter or similar.

BO Explorer: Indexing error

Dears!

 

I am pretty new with BO Explorer and we have been experiencing for some weeks (over a month) an indexing process issue: it fails to run.

 

The error message is the following:

 

Server xxxxxxx generated the following messages:

Index Creation Failed (while trying to invoke the method com.businessobjects.datadiscovery.dataprovider.lucene.exploration.result.ILuceneMember.getKey() of a null object loaded from local variable 'member')

 

 

The amount of data is quite huge and the number of columns as well. 9 millions of records for 59 facets and 4 Measures.

 

SAP is unabled to give an answer (this high priority case has been raised 2 weeks ago already and still almost no releavant answer).

 

We tried to split the data into 2 views and it worked.

 

Removing some detailed facets works also but it is not a satisfying solution as the customer does want to see all of them at a glance.

 

I would really appreciate any input which would help to resolve our problem!

Hi team ,

 

We are getting an error while executing webi report with dump tsv_tnew_page _alloc_Failed .

 

We recommened user to distribute load and ru=n reports in chunk.But , he denied and want one combine report for this to run .

 

Please suggest , should we go for increasing the resources or ?

 

Please guide ..urgent

Login Error in BI launch Pad as user, BOBJ 4.0

Hi Expert,

I am not able login as user in Business object launch pad in order to check the folder assignment to user, error as follow upon login,

"Account Information Not Recognized: Enterprise authentication could not log you on. Please make sure your logon information is correct. (FWB 00008)"

Imported the Role from BI to business object environment after assigned to test user and performed the folder assignment to group in CMC, i am using BI logon Authentication for BI test user.

Note: As a Admin i am only able to logon with the Authentication as Enterprise, not as SAP not sure if that has any thing do for the error.

 

I am new to Business object 4.0 security, your help to resolve the issue will be greatly appreciated.

Explorer 4.0 Failed to logon could not parse parse xml message

Hi,

We have BI 4.0 SP 9.0 and FP3. We installed Explorer 4.0 SP9 and FP3 on that. We are using web sphere as the application server. We are able to see the explores from the URL http://servers/explorer/ and from the BI launch pad also. When we try to login we are getting " Failed to logon Could not parse XML" error. When we logon from the BI launch pad it is showing the home tab but the "Welcome (user name is Blank) and all the other area is greyed out. We deployed required war files after extracting them using wdeploy tool. Any help is really appreciated

Index Schedule doesn't run

We are trying to use SAP Explorer Version 14.1.2 Build 1121 in BOBJ 4.1 SP2 environment.

 

When we setup index scheduling with an enterprise account, we do see a "timer" icon shows up in Status but it doesn't actually kick off the index build process. No errors but the latest index timestamp doesn't change as well.

 

1. No failures or error messages

2. "Index Now" works fine and last index timestamp will be changed once we do "index now"

3. After index scheduled time passed, I log out and log back into BOBJ environment. The scheduled job disappeared but the last index timestamp has not been changed.

 

Any ideas of the fix? Do we need to turn on any services?

Explorer Missing after promoting unv

I'm new to the Explorer tool.  After promoting the unv, the Explorer Workspace isn't appearing when attempting to do an Indexing under Managing Workspaces.

 

Any thoughts or thoughts what I could have missed?  Thanks.
